Welcome to Week 7 of Term 3!
ONLINE HOLIDAY STRETCH PROGRAM
We are excited to announce that we will be holding an online daily morning stretch program for Caper students in the school holidays with Sophia Kaloudis.
The class will focus on strength and stretch exercises to keep our dancers in top form to be able to progress and improve in their technical skills. It will also be a wonderful way for students to connect with each other and start the day off in a positive, productive way.
Sophia is renowned for training technical dancers so we encourage our students to take advantage of this opportunity and the discounted price we have provided.
The details are:
9am – 10am every weekday morning of the holidays (total of ten classes)
The cost of this program is $85 for the ten classes
Suitable for ages 8 and up, all students are encouraged to attend.
Bookings can be made on the link below:

We have had a lot of uniforms delivered to the studio (that had been ordered by families in Term 2). We are aware that families would be keen to collect these items and in addition to this we have had queries from families who want to purchase new uniform items.
We have given a lot of thought to how we can provide this in a Covid-safe way. We do not want to place our staff at risk and we want to be sure to be operating within the NSW Public Health orders. So we have decided to allow contactless collection of uniforms over the school holidays. Families will be able to book in individual 15 minute time-slots where they can collect their uniform item/s. The items will be left at the bottom of the stairwell.
There is no expectation to collect your uniform items during this period. Particularly if it is not an “essential” reason for you to leave your home. It is expected that families will not collect any uniform items if it means that they are breaking rules pertaining to isolation orders or their local government area.
It will take some time for us to set up the booking system so once it is ready to go we will update the App.
READY SET DANCE/BALLET SEPTEMBER COURSE
Our two Ready Set Dance/Ballet classes for September sold out very quickly so we have added a third class at 9:15am. Bookings for this course can now be made on the link below:

STRETCHING CHALLENGE
Congratulations to Sofia K who won the stretching challenge last week. We have sent you your e-gift card. We are looking forward to announcing the next winner this week. We encourage students to send in their progress shots of them stretching, it does not have to be perfect, we are impressed by your effort and motivation. Please email photos of your progress or tag us on instagram. The stretching challenge can be downloaded from the App.
ACTIVE KIDS VOUCHERS
We contacted Service NSW to let them know how disappointed we are that they will not accept Active Kids vouchers for online dance classes. Their response was that they have this rule out of equity to all Active Kids providers. So whilst dance classes can pivot fairly easily to an online format, there are activities such as Football teams which can not be provided online. So this seems to be the reason behind the decision, creating an equal opportunity for everyone. We asked them to reconsider vouchers for online dance classes (as we are still meeting the eligibility of supervised, regular training of more than 8 weeks). Hopefully they may consider the rule for Term 4 if face-to-face dance classes are not allowed.
We wanted to update you all on this as we know many families had hoped to use Active Kids vouchers for online classes.
